Since 2005, the G-Science Academies’ meetings have been convened annually by the national academies of G7 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States). Ahead of the G7 Leaders’ Summit, the national academies discuss and present joint statements, bringing scientific knowledge and expertise into the political discussion for the betterment of the world.
In 2023, the Science Council of Japan hosted the G-Science Academy (S7) 2023, since Japan is the chairing country of the G7 Summit
