International Conference on Science and Technology for Sustainability 2020
- Social Inclusion in the Global Era - Sustainable post-COVID-19 Society>> Japanese

Considering COVID-19 pandemic, Science Council of Japan held "International Conference on Science and Technology for Sustainability" virtually on September 3rd to 4th 2020.

Now that the mobility of people and goods as the base in the global era is being restricted greatly due to the COVID-19, the issues of sustainability and inclusion at the global level are becoming more important than ever. This Conference will discuss how to make our future inclusive and sustainable, including issues surrounding the transformative change for CO2 mitigation in the “New Normal” post COVID-19. This conference consists of two sessions: (1) Issues in Asia and the Role of Japan, and (2) Global Challenge and the Role of Academics. We have invited prominent scholars specializing in social policy, sociology and political science as panelists, and they will lead us insightful discussions about what academic institutions can do in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
