March 20,2007 SCA Preparatory The 7th SCA Preparatory Meeting was convened at the SCJ in TOKYO on March 20 to discuss management of the Joint Projects in the 7th SCA Conference.

January 24, 2006 SCA Preparatory Meeting-January 24,2006
The 6th SCA Preparatory Meeting was held at SCJ in Tokyo on January 24 to discuss the management of the 6th and 7th SCA Conferences and to review the 5th SCA Conference among the officers of SCA, the members of Organizing Committee of the host countries, and persons who will play important roles in the next Conference. The original plan of the schedule for the conference made by host country was not finalized during the meeting.

Octorber 3, 2005 The Management Board decided to endorse the  International Symposium on Proposals toward International Collaboration for Disaster Reduction in Tokyo to be held on December 16-17, 2005, which will be held as a part of an SCA joint project authorized in the fifth SCA Conference, Hanoi.

February 25, 2005 The SCA Preparatory Meeting was held at the Science Council of Japan to discuss the management of the 5th and 6th SCA Conferences and to review the 4th SCA Conference among the officers of the SCA, the members of organizing committees of the host countries, and the persons who will play important roles in the Hanoi Conference. The final announcement of the Hanoi Conference will be sent to the member organizations soon.
December 28, 2004 The Management Board decided to endorse the A-IMBN SCA Joint Bio Symposium in Hanoi to be held on May 11, 2005, which will be a side event of the 5th SCA Conference.
December 1, 2004 The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) set their hands to the 6th SCA Conference in Delhi in 2006. November 8, 2004 The Institute of Environment and Development (LESTARI) of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia organizes the International Conference on Governing for Sustainability in the Asia Pacific to be held on April 12 - 15, 2005 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The announcement of the conference is available on the website of LESTARI at http://www.lestari.ukm.my/pdf%20file/Second-Brochure.pdf.
October 8, 2004 Dr. Kiyoshi Kurokawa, SCA Secretary General and his team visited Vietnam and had a meeting with the 5th SCA Conference Organizing Committee on October 4, 2004. The 5th SCA Conference will be held in Hanoi on May 11-13, 2005.
