International Conference on Science and Technology for Sustainability 2004
-Asian Megacities and Global Sustainability-




 The International Conference on Science and Technology for Sustainability 2004: Asian Megacities and Global Sustainability was held at the Auditorium of the Science Council of Japan from Wednesday, November 10th to Friday, November 12th for three days. More than 600 persons participated.
 Many eminent scientists in various fields covering from natural science to humanities and social science and delegates from international scientific communities including Lord Robert McCredie May, President of the Royal Society, Prof. Lewis M. Branscomb, Professor Emeritus of Harvard University and Prof. Malcolm John Grant, President of University College London attended at the Conference.
 At the Concluding session on the last day of the Conference, the Conference adopted the statement that recognizes current issues in Asian megacities and global sustainability, the management philosophy and the future contribution of the scientific community.
